The Sims 2- Building a House 9 – Part 1- Exterior
Hello again! I was requested by Purdonnnnn1873 to make a mansion using the Mansion & Garden pack. But I can’t build anything besides modern houses anymore so I made a Modern Mansion. I was creatively challenged the past week, i tried making 2 houses but I abandoned them. I guess all that time has really paid off! This is by far my most favouritest house! I thought that I couldn’t beat my 6th house but this annihilates that one. Took me over 3 hours doing just the outside so I split the architecture and interior decorating into 2 parts. Enjoy and give me feedback and whatnot
The Sims 3 – Building a House 7 – Chicago Dreaming – Part 4 – Interior
The link to download this house is over here: www.thesims3.com Requested by coolkit211, who asked for a 1950′s Chicago Townhouse for his Italian Family (which I accidentally disregarded), that consists of Mother, Father and teenage daughter. So apart from those details, I was asked to include a garage and basement (I don’t understand the need for them so the houses I’ve made that require a basement I left empty) and it needed to be small. My first reaction was that it was going to be a quick and easy job… how wrong I was. This house took 3 hours to complete!!! And nothing was extraordinarily hard either, time just flew past. I could’ve made it 2 floors instead of 3 if I managed the ground floor better (theres lots of empty space), but I’ve always wanted to do a 1st floor Kitchen/ Dining Room, so I crammed them, a bathroom and a family room all on the one floor. 2nd floor is really nice but I definitely get carried away with colour themes. I tried being different with the daughters room and threw in Blue instead of all pink. But I think the Black & White throughout the house turned out quite nice. Backyard was just thrown together and the “garage” is very basic. Okay this is my last house that I’m building for a bit. I don’t have much internet to upload 1GB worth of videos everyday… that, and I’m all creative-ed out… I need time to recharge. I’m thinking of building simple, small starter homes instead of expensive works of art when I come back. I need a change. So …
The Sims 3 – Building a House 14 – Green With Envious Springs – Part 4 – Interior
The link to download this house is over here: www.thesims3.com First off, I think the kitchen, in paarticular, is too green, should have made the base of the counters and stuff to be that light orangey yellow wood that I use for everything =P I tried being slightly different with my bathroom by putting the toilet behind a wall in the corner…. I dunno if it looks good or not, I want real half walls dammit! Andddddd I’m placing throwbakcs from previous houses from the set with the blue bathroom! Same problem with Carnelian, the living room wouldn’t fit nicely but in the end I think I found the best spot to put it. Rug looks nice though! The bedroom, scheme taken from Black/ White house =DI love continuity! Gerenic bedroom, same as…. the over 30 rooms I’ve done in all my hosues =/ I shouldn’t have kept the green walls though and changed it to a greyish white or something. Still, it works! Same with the top bedroom except that’s the other half, being white… and reversed! the rugs for both are awesome! And I played with the shade of each side of the wall, looks more fun than being plain! Bah! the fireplace/ TV combo I was attempting would’ve been really good if the fireplace was moved slightly… but as always I found middle ground and made it work it’s best. Each installment of my ‘Colour Series’ will have a new feature that I will use for the next installment, so Green will have an amalgamation of all the previous houses, effectively making it a super house! Blue has …
The Sims 3 – Building a House 5 – The Window to the Home – Part 4 – Interior
The link to download this house is over here: www.thesims3.com Oh. My. God I haven’t felt this excited about uploading a house since No.9 back in Sims 2!!! Thanks to a request by ghjit, who asked me to build a Japanese/ Indian themed house that looked like a house you’d see in Las Vegas… in the 70′s. I dunno but that’s what I associated the hose with =\. Link to the picture i worked off of is here: www.lamidesign.com What do you think it looks like? Anyway, Sims 3 doesn’t cater for Japanese or Indian themes so I was asked to go for retro… which, sadly, isn’t catered for either. I planned to have modern exterior with a retro interior, but since that fell through, I stuck with modern for both. I must say, I absolutely love this house!!! I stayed in night mode while I was building cos with the lighting it looked realllllllllly sweet. A few ideas such as the driveway and entrance I stole from the Pondsomething house in Sunset Valley, Great house that! Bamboo works really nice with anything. And the usage of the different types of windows I stole from another video from Youtube, can’t remember it though. but thanks goes to them. The little Beachy-Oasis think was a ‘spur the moment’ idea. If you watched my House 4 you’d have seen me dabble with water but didn’t use it. I’ve also started playing around with feature walls and different shades of colour for each side of a room, like the bathroom. You’re all probably getting tired of me using the same furniture sets and stuff …
The Sims 3 – Building a House 9 – Life’s A Beach House – Part 3 – Interior
The link to download this house is over here: www.thesims3.com As a few people guessed correctly, I was to build a beach house. And build a beach house I did! However, it was supposed to be an actually fully fledged house but based on the complexities and lot size restricitions, I downgraded to a holiday house.
I also decided on “experimenting” with colour with each section of the house a different one, I personally like the Blue the most. I forgot to allow sound to be recorded so I had to use music from previous sims, brings back lovely memories! As I said in previous videos I’m getting repetitive with furniture sets and styles, particularly the wood thing. Get used to it until the next pack comes out, and I refuse to spend copious amounts of money in the store (although the Ultra Lounge set is verrrrrry tempting) I tried to make a lowered living room but there wasn’t enough space to fit it all in so I’ll do it next hosue The house took 2 hours and 3 minutes to build and furnish. It costs $72 000 furnished and $52 000 unfurnished. Enjoy!!!
The Sims 2 – Building a House 12 – The Spiked Cannon – Part 2 – Architecture/ Interior
Yes, I got the video to export! I love the little details you can throw into a room, particularly the kitchens containers and ceral boxes and the garages tools and stuff, lets not forget the painting corner!!! Now this is what I had in mind for the 2 upstairs bedrooms, stereotypical ‘pink princess’ and ‘messy surfer boy’ rooms!!! Even with clothes on the floor =D!!! As with the garden, I got a bit carried away with the backyard and over did everything!!! And I think the video plays the end twice… and ends quite abruptly, sorry!!! Enjoy!!!
The Sims 3 – Building a House 17 – Avalon Grande – Part 3 – Landscaping/ Architecture/ Interior
The link to download this house is over here: www.thesims3.com For some reason , every time I open up the game to work on the house, the plants around the area end up in places where they shouldn’t be. I speak of the plants above the entrance to the house… it has something to do with MO but I don’t know how to fix it, So I’ve had to reomve the plants above so next best idea! I’m still not happy with the overall hose design, but I’ve stuck with it, I’ll probably clean up the colours and stuff later though. Kitchen isn’t placed the best, neither is the dining area, probably clean that up next part too. So I’m not particularly happy with the house so far, but we’ll what the end product looks like! Avalon Grande took 9-10 hours to build altogether and costs $308 000 furnished and $151 unfurnished. Enjoy!!!!
The Sims 3 – Building a House in the Life of… David William – Shades of Grey – Part 2
The link to download this house is over here: www.thesims3.com As I mentioned during the building process, I wasn’t entirely happy with the choice of styles for most of the house. And, same goes with the interior too. I couldn’t get the pleasing Green on Blue for the Bedroom but nevertheless, it’s still just acceptable. The backyard looks undernourished due to the disappearance of the hedge along the fence, I’m guessing you cant place them next to a pool…. so i just left it anyway. I played David today for a bout…. 3 Sim Weeks, so much has changed… particularly the front garden… and he’s mastered 3 skills. I stopped aging for him until he gets his Lifetime Want which is to ‘Master the Arts’ so when he gets, that, and he ages into Adulthood, I’ll start a family and upload their happenings. Random Facts: David currently gets paid just over $1000 an hour… 5 hours a day, 4 days a week. He’s a DNA Analysts David has mastered Cooking, Gardening, Painting, Handiness and almost Guitar
The Sims 3 – Building a House 13 – Carnelian Chalcedony – Part 2 – Architecture
The link to download this house is over here: www.thesims3.com Alright, so the house is finished, the end product slightly differs this version. I decided to keep the roof because actually looking at it… it’s really… different, which is always good! I will admit my floor and wall skills aren’t my greatest strength but I’m trying colours that complement each other and the like. Also, if you noticed, I started practicing with my green house by using it in one of the bedrooms, can’t wait for that house SERIOUSLY!!! The master bedrooms Black/Red design comes off as Gothic and Dark but it surprisingly works… IMO, I rushed that, thinking that I would change it later, but I’ve kept it. Each installment of my ‘Colour Series’ will have a new feature that I will use for the next installment, so Green will have an amalgamation of all the previous houses, effectively making it a super house! Blue has the colour theme. Orange has the pond. Black and White has the lowered living room. Red has the indoor garden… and to an extent the garage. I’ve done the majority of the Visible Spectrum and I’ve decided to make one more, sorry to those who would have like to see Violet/ Indigo but don’t worry, the next installment will BLOW YOU MIND! Carnelian Chalcedony took a painful 4.5 hours to build and costs $136 000 furnished and $85 000 unfurnished Enjoy!
The Sims 3 – Building a House 15 – Dans la Maison – Part 2 – The Pool Area
Hello! The link to download this house is over here: www.thesims3.com This house that I’m building was a request that I accept while I was doing my Coloured Set (I’m still not taking any more) by Ded0099, who gave me a very good brief, which was why I accepted. As I said earlier, I’m going to build and upload this house in short little bite sized pieces so I wont end up failing it 3/4 of the way through. I like the way the house is slwoly becoming great, the pool design is nice but I wish there were more fountains… Tell me what you think, and the next part I will work on the front and back yard! Dan la Maison took 5-6 hours to build altogether and costs $273 000 furnished and $160 unfurnished. Enjoy!!!
